Environmental risks

From 1st January 1998 the Consorcio forms part of the Spanish Pool of Environmental Risks (www.perm.es), a group with an economic interest that started its activities in January 1995. This pool offers reinsurance cover for loss or damage caused by pollution which, necessarily, is produced by accident and at random.

The Consorcio's participation in the Pool in 2008 is 3.9966 %, with a maximum retention of 500.000 euros. The maximum retention for the 2009 financial year is fixed at 1,200,000 Euros, with a percentage participation of 5.9627 %

The Consorcio's Annual Report shows that in 2007 the premiums earned with this cover amounted to 179,000 euros, whereas the provisions and expenses paid amounted to 2,000 euros. During this financial year the Consorcio's participation was 4.0419 %, with a maximum retention of 500,000 euros.
