Acquisition of credits

What is the purchase of credits? It is a measure to protect the insured creditors that substantially improves their position with respect to other creditors in the following way:

  • The payments are brought forward by the CCS and it is not necessary to wait for the end of the liquidation procedure.
  • The percentage paid out is higher than would be the case from the liquidation procedure.
  • The credits acquired by the Consorcio are those that derive from claims, salvage and premiums that have not been used up because of the early expiry of policies.
