As determined by the Legal Statutes, the Consorcio has amongst one of its commitments the preparation of risk prevention plans and programmes and their development and dissemination through corresponding preventative measures and campaigns. Within the scope of natural catastrophes the Consorcio dedicates special attention to the promotion and support of studies to investigate natural phenomena (atmospheric and geological), and the catastrophic effects that they produce, being a support tool and a stimulus for appropriate prevention strategies.
