This book is the result of the research carried out by Higinio Arcos Trancho, superior architect who has been collaborating with the Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros since 1996 in expert / adjustment reports and Cristina Porcu, structural engineer and lecturer at the school of engineering in Cagliari University (Italy). The most significant characteristic of the book, apart from its rigour and descriptive clarity, is that it marries the seismic doctrine with the experience in the study and treatment of damage in buildings as a result of an earthquake occurring in Spain, that of Mula, and in the scope of the Consorcio's adjustment activity on said claim.
